Nick grew up playing various sports in western Pennsylvania. From 2003-2008, he attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania as a student in Exercise Science and an athlete on the school’s swim team. He then became a personal trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine and began practicing yoga, and later teaching it, after realizing how much he needed it and how difficult yoga could be. Nick was injured a few times from surfing and other sportsm and didn’t have health insurance, so he had to use his body awareness he gained from yoga to fix himself. Learning quite a bit from his yoga practice, Nick decided he wanted to use that knowledge and personal experience to help others. That is when he found out that Wor-Wic Community College was starting a Physical Therapy Assistant program, which he attended and graduated from in May of 2018.

In 2016 Don retired from the Baltimore Raven’s security team (SAFE) due to a major back surgery. Shortly after his back surgery, he began rehab at Atlantic Physical Therapy. Don began a daily workout schedule at Atlantic Health and Fitness ,where he gained tons of knowledge and experience in the Fitness Center. In 2018 Don began working with Atlantic Health and Fitness, and enjoys helping others.

Ed Downs has been a Member for 10 years and has worked at Atlantic Health and Fitness Center for four years. He is retired from Verizon with 34 years of service. Ed is experienced with Circuit training at the gym, and enjoys working out 4-5 days a week.

Jay has a B.S. in Exercise Science and Sport, as well as a minor in Psychology. He graduated from Indiana University of PA in 1986. Around Ocean Pines, he is known as “The Guy on the Bike.” After a long absence from the health club field, Jay agrees that it’s great to be here at Atlantic Health and Fitness, and enjoys helping people with their fitness goals.

John Low was born in Brooklyn, NY, where he lived until he accepted a telecommunication position with the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC and then with the Library of Congress. He retired in 2014 and lives in Ocean Pines. When John is not working, you can find him fishing, volunteering, or spending time with his grandkids! Though no longer practicing martial arts, John has a brown belt in Tae-Kwon-Do.
